1st Public Cupping Session

Our First Public Coffee Cupping Session

Coffee has always been more than just a drink—it’s a craft, a passion, and a way to bring people together. That’s exactly what we set out to do with our first public coffee cupping session, an event that highlighted not just flavors but also the local coffee community.

A Gathering for Coffee

For this special event, we invited cafe owners, coffee enthusiasts, farmers, and local cooperatives to experience coffee in a whole new way. It was an opportunity to learn more about coffee beans, their different profiles, and the nuances of flavor that make each cup unique.

Learning the Art of Cupping

Together, we explored the basics of cupping—a process that helps evaluate a coffee’s aroma, taste, and overall profile. Using beans we roasted ourselves, participants got hands-on experience in identifying different characteristics, from acidity to body and sweetness.

Showcasing Local Coffee

A key highlight of the event was featuring coffee beans from our own province—Tagbina and Bislig, Surigao del Sur. These beans carry the distinct flavors of our region, and we take pride in bringing local coffee to the forefront.

A Special Guest from the Industry

We were honored to have a former Robusta Q-Grader from Butuan join us, offering insights into quality evaluation and sharing valuable knowledge on robusta and its potential in specialty coffee.

Building a Coffee Community

More than just a tasting session, this event was about fostering connections in our local coffee scene. It was inspiring to see farmers, roasters, and coffee lovers come together, exchanging stories and ideas on how we can continue to appreciate and elevate local coffee.
This is just the beginning. We’re excited to host more events that celebrate coffee, community, and collaboration. Whether you’re a coffee professional or just someone who loves a good cup, we invite you to join us in discovering the rich flavors and stories behind every bean.
Stay tuned for our next session, and let’s keep brewing connections together.
